MJZ Mining is a 100% black owned company. It’s managing directors collectively acquired underground Mining intensive skills and experience. The skills and experience ranges from:

  • Mining Overseer,
  • Accounting,
  • Quality Surveyors and
  • Project Management.

The company employed 100 % South African with women and youth. We prioritise on local women and youth employment.

Our Vision

In accordance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the company will appoint a health and safety officer if required. This is to ensure that the company complies with all applicable regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Service Methodology

MJZ Mining is fully aware of safety hazards and dangers that may put both employee and client at risk and which may hinder or cause serious damage to property and injure persons.

  • We will ensure that all employees are well trained and inducted in terms of client safety requirements.
  • We will continuously have safety intervention strategies in line with client specifications.
  • We will conduct daily safety talks and supervisors will attend safety meetings as arranged by client and continuously relate message to employees.
  • In case of any unforeseen case of injury or any incident, MJZ Mining is fully registered with Department of Labor for compensation fund and have comprehensive medical cover with ONEPLAN Medical insurance which is fully accredited with most health care service providers.
  • A full and compliant safety file will be compiled and submitted to relevant safety personnel for approval.
  • Full PPE will be issued, and full compliance will be ensured through safety reps and relevant supervisors.
  • Should a need arise for specialized work or equipment to be use prior approval from relevant engineer will be bought to avoid unnecessary delays.
Production System

We have bonus system for monthly target achievement to employees and extra bonuses for Managers who achieved more than set targets from shareholders.

Environmental

MJZ Mining takes full understanding of the impact of chemical and other hazardous materials which will be used, and which may be subject to our operations when removing, moving or transport various equipment from underground or from different areas of responsibilities.

We therefore will ensure that all employees are fully inducted on how to avoid unnecessary spillages, controls and preventative measures in dealing with all hazardous materials.

Employee Wellness Programs

As part of our strategy to maintain and keep our employees we have the following services:

  • All employees undergo annual medical examinations.
  • All employees have a Medical Aid cover which even gives trauma and emergency medical insurance.
  • All employees have a provident fund to ensure that upon leaving company or at pension age they get a payout to helps with their needs beyond their employment with us.
  • We continuously have awareness campaigns on different programs that deals with their wellbeing.
